Content Marketing Manager Job Description

 

My client, a leading provider of cutting-edge enterprise technology to leading financial services organisations, creation of effective and targeted content for our financial and technical audiences is core to their  marketing activity and revenue growth plans. As part of a broader marketing team, they are looking for a dynamic and experienced marketing executive who can lead and drive their content creation activities and help them achieve their goals.

 

You will help develop a content strategy and execution plan to take content management to the next level and then own driving the implementation of that plan. Your activity will align with their quarterly sales and marketing campaign cycle, creating the messaging and content in support of the campaign efforts. In parallel to this, you will constantly seek thought leadership opportunities that reinforce Simudyne’s reputation as a forward looking, leading fintech firm.

 

This will include all aspects of the content life cycle - how they define their messaging and create, maintain, and implement their content. You are also required to develop a content roadmap, a schedule and ensure that all relevant touch points are consistent with the brand style, tone and voice. You will ensure that accuracy and quality are maintained in all items that are released to maintain their  trust with customers. Most of all, you will work with the broader Simudyne team to develop compelling and differentiated content and innovative ways of taking our messaging to market in order to drive customer engagement and ultimately sales.

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Content Marketing function is required to:

 

  • Develop an end-to-end content marketing strategy and execution plan to position of their business as the market leader in enterprise simulation platform for financial services and beyond
  • Working with their subject matter experts, lead, manage, and develop impactful content assets for the company across the marketing funnel that help differentiate Simudyne and highlight genuine value in supporting different use cases
  • Take ownership of the creation and delivery of content assets across multiple communication channels including our website, social media, emails, videos, their customer facing portal and events (both physical and online).
  • Focus on lead generation content creation such as use cases, product demos, blogposts, white papers and targeted articles.
  • Drive the editorial and production calendar to align with quarterly campaign calendar, market needs and deliver a consistent drumbeat of compelling assets.
  • Work cross functionally with internal stakeholders (sales, simulation engineers, product managers, marketing, analysts) as well as manage external agencies as relevant in support the development of content assets.
  • Develop a framework to use hard data to regularly report on the effectiveness of content initiatives and ROI, and iterate based on learnings.
  • Support management of budgets and finding cost efficiencies with partners.
  • Manage localization of content into geographies according to further growth and expansion.
  • Contribute as a key member of the marketing team as we develop and grow our marketing capabilites


 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in relevant field;
  • Strong experience working in a relevant content production and/or content management role in a world-class technical and operational organization;
  • Strong experience in either finance or a dynamic technology organisation
  • Proven experience of copy writing and content development at either an agency or within a company’s marketing department in the B2B space (ideally financial services)
  • Demonstrated experience in setting and driving Brand and Content strategies and working cross functionally to deliver high quality output;
  • Strong project management, creative thinking and analytical skills;
  • Keys to success in this role include programme leadership experience. Preference is for candidates with exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, project management and interpersonal skills along with an intense customer focus.
  • Must be a team player and capable of working in a high-performance team
