A leading Events co in the city of London are seeking an Event Marketing Manager, in short:


*** In charge of overseeing 14 events globally and delegating to relevant Marketing Managers. All events will be for Women in Technology*** 


My clients Events is a high-growth business that is tripling in size year on year. 


Due to the growth of our organization we are restructuring the portfolio, and as such a Senior Marketing Manager role has been created. This role is responsible for growing attendee acquisition, driving retention and delivering outstanding results aligned to the portfolios growth strategy.


With a focus on “the delegate”, you will deliver and execute a global, industry-specific, multi- channel marketing strategy. In this role you will be responsible for successfully achieving the set delegate objectives, implementing new campaigns and working closely with the series’ commercial, sales, digital and product team.


Job Description:


The Senior Event Marketing Manager is responsible for the formulation, implementation and execution of marketing strategies to achieve or exceed commercial & strategic goals for the Women in Technology world wide event series.


Insight & Strategy:


  • Develop marketing strategies based on commercial and customer insight to achieve revenue and strategic goals for assigned events
  • Utilise analytical tools to inform and identify the best channel mix to achieve commercial and strategic goals and the best possible ROI on campaign spend
  • Work with internal partners to use customer insight to develop the best possible value proposition, messaging and content to drive campaigns
  • Work with delegate sales team to brief on key customer needs, associated value and to develop an integrated sales & marketing approach to drive high quality leads to achieve sales goals
  • Contribute to the continuing development of a high performance marketing team with a culture of results, accountability, innovation and speed to market
  • Contribute to the identification and sharing of best practice regional and globally through the Maddox Marketing department (New Industry Department)


Campaign Management & Execution:


  • Deliver marketing campaigns - on time, to budget
  • Effectively manage all internal & external stakeholders/partners to deliver campaigns
  • Optimise campaign CPA and ROI and continually review campaign key metrics to enhance or leverage opportunities
  • Be the commercial lead for assigned event(s) taking full responsibility to achieve the highest possible results
  • Continually assess commercial performance, forecast confidently and accurately and strive to drive higher results wherever possible


Team Management


  • Lead a focused team of Marketing Managers and/or Marketing Executives to develop and implement the best possible strategies to achieve or exceed commercial goals
  • Drive best practices throughout the team, working with the team to ensure marketing metric benchmarks are met or exceeded
  • Take responsibility for the commercial and strategic goals of both your and your team’s events


Job Requirements:


  • BA/BS degree required; MBA is a plus
  • CIM qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years proven track record in Marketing, with direct proven track record in event promotion and/or the business to business environment
  • Experience working in global territories (EMEA, APAC, NA)
  • Strong copy writing skills
  • Proven track record of people management
  • Clear drive to exceed KPIs and deliver consistent revenue and customer growth through an always-on marketing approach.
  • Experience with integrated, multi-channel marketing
  • Deep understanding of SEO, SEM and demand generation campaigns
  • Good knowledge of marketing automation tools such as Hubspot/ Marketo/Eloqua
  • Strong understanding of CRM platform - ideally Salesforce
  • Experience working with event registration systems
  • Analytical approach to deriving, analysing and utilising customer insight
  • Strong Project and time management skills as well as great negotiation and collaboration skills
