Client

My client is a multi award winning B2B Events company, based near London Bridge. They market over 65 large events a year across multiple disciplines such as AI, Life Science, Animals, Biology, Food and Beverage, Cosmetics, Petcare, Beauty etc. 

 

You will be an expert in your field with the capability to develop and deliver impactful digital strategies; take responsibility for complete tactical implementation and have a proven track record for optimising activities across the web and the entire integrated marketing mix

 

The roles requires someone who has developed and implemented organisation wide digital strategies, is grounded in analytics and optimisation and is looking to stretch their entrepreneurial and leadership side.

The Role:

 

As the digital lead for the business, you will be developing cohesive digital strategies to be utilised by the entire marketing team of 12 marketers. Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will also be responsible for personally marketing 2-3 events per annum and implementing digital best practice across the team.#

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Identifying and implementing the optimal digital mix to be utilised across all our event marketing campaigns, including SEO, Re-Targeting, PPC, content marketing, paid and organic social media and e-mail marketing.
  • Accountable for the design, enhancement and effectiveness of all event web site templates.
  • Lead our landing page strategy and customer journey, development and optimisation.
  • Define and implement a growth roadmap to optimise conversion funnels and engagement.
  • Building reports required for the smart application of data for insight and activation.
  •  Skilled in digital innovation and a very good understanding of web tools and systems.
  • Optimising the use of the CRM and Marketing Automation platforms (ideally with experience of Salesforce and Pardot).
  • Creation of on point messaging, branding and content to effectively communicate conference value propositions across all channels, including web and email.

 

The Person: 

  • Will possess 2:1 Bachelor’s level education or equivalent
  • Will have detailed knowledge and experience with Google Analytics and Adwords, Paid Social (especially Linkedin), Re-Targetting platforms and ideally a working knowledge of marketing automation platforms
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious, adaptable and flexible with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to write crisp engaging marketing copy.
  • Highly organised, methodical and process-driven.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Track record of delivering campaigns to deadline and budget.
  • Results-driven - ensure that events plan fulfils strategic goals and drives the required business results.
  • Rock solid end-to-end marketing plan management.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills - ability to engage and influence a range of people and characters.
